Carmen, in her seventies, lives a life of pain and medication, save for memories and waking dreams of her deceased love. When these memories fade and the dreams turn into nightmares, she wants to return to her native Spain for euthanasia. Out of love, her daughter Noémie is for it. Out of love, Ana, her caregiver, is against it.
